The opposite wall. On it is written: "Edney's feed here" over some exposed bricks where presumably there was a feed holder. I wonder if Edney was a cow or a sheep or a horse? Or some other kind of animal?

Convict settler George Salter's cottage, in what's now Parramatta Park. Built in 1796, and later used by Governor Lachlan Macquarie as his dairy, it's one of Australia's oldest colonial buildings. Sadly, it's in a horrible state of repair.

This was one of a number of historic buildings opened to the public as part of Parramatta Open.
