TIL that while the .eu TLD registrar #EUrid is technically a non-profit org, it is very much dominated by #business interests.
Would EUrid roll over US #sanctions and block domain names or would they resist? 🤔

@ilumium "Dominated" sounds like a slight overstatement. If I count correctly, business lobbies are 5 out of 11 members, while the original founders (NICs) are 4/11. Business representatives seem to be 2/7 board members.

I would say business interests are more likely to intrude into #EURid by lobbying the European Commission, which can always threaten to destroy/sabotage EURid in various ways.
