The US did not attack Autistici/Inventati for fighting for open communication. A/I are also advocating that, true. But the US make it very clear what this is about: It's a strike against far-left politics and anti-fascism. I sure hope the politics of this will not get buried and twisted into a cyberlibertarian narrative of "free internet" or "free speech".

The domain names of
autistici.org / inventati.org (and noblogs.org) are now suspended.
.org being managed by a US entity they were forced to suspend them due to Autisti (the oldest leftwing Italian collective doing web and mail hosting) being declared a terrorist organisation by Trump
Even for WikiLeaks they didn't do that
The US are clearly a fascist state now....

Maybe it's a silly question, but...
Could the DNS block be circumvented connecting directly to the IP if the server is up and running? I don't know the IP to test, though.
@tachan @malteengeler yes, we can do Internet without DNS but :
- the https certificate will soon expire
- and anyway, no human (only geeks) do that, so the impact on autistici infrastructure and availability is huge :(
