Good news: can't find my picture of Eolo, so I guess the self-deleting toot did work :-) (either that or I need to change my glasses batteries 🥰 )
Good news: this one is solved (DM not appearing in tusky).
No idea what happened, but after yet another "refresh", all DM suddenly appeared.
Must have been a traffic jam on the information highway 😼
Little Fedi as an AP from home on Android

@francois you cannot, as a normal user. Bubbles instances can be configured by admins only, like in Akkoma
@stefano
Again, not really a bug report, I may not have understood how the system works. I haven't seen anywhere a button or something add a server to your bubble ?
@francois Fingers crossed that you'll soon get some reprieve from the heat. We haven't been graced - yeah graced - with thunderstorms in the near vicinity for the past couple of weeks, while it rained elsewhere in Austria. I mean, some genius in regional marketing tried to sell the Burgenland once as "Florida" of Austria, but I don't think that they had these conditions in mind.
Buon gionro, littlefedi!
IT FINALLY RAINED IN MY NEIGHBOURHOOD!!!! A little fresh air after weeks of heatwaves.
@srlevine yes, that's not totally clear. This is because of a branch merge. Maybe it should be re-organised. Thanks!
@stefano
bug report ??? I think there is something wrong with the backend / API (not sure what exactly).
The symptom is this:
On my tusky client on android, no message show up under DM. However, they do show up on the browser, and they do show up for all my other accounts so I think we can discard a malfunction of tusky.
Goooooooood morning all
Well glad to report automatic posting does work.
Funny I just realized little fedi displays pictures on top and text below whereas most other clients post text and pictures below 😆
(not that it makes any difference - just didn't notice before)
@stefano Ok, I found the issue, turns out the option was under "account migration", which was further down the page and I hadn't read the details of since I wasn't planning to migrate the account. Since none(?) of the other flavors of fedi have the import feature yet there might need to be some sort of "this only works if you have an account on another littlefedi server" notification. Unless I just missed it, quite possible.
@xenotar The FreeBSD daemon comes from a batch Jordan Hubbard ordered but didn't like because, according to him, they looked like "toritos" (little bulls); I liked them, though, and attached my "little bull" daemon to the department's core switch-router. And there it stayed until the young woman came to visit us.
A coworker's youngest daughter is getting married. I’ve known her since she was born; one day he brought her to work when she was three or four, and I gave her a FreeBSD daemon doll that she still keeps to this day. She and her future husband are planning a honeymoon trip from the north to the south of Italy (and back). For modern weddings, gifts are chosen online, and I selected a pizza in Naples, an ice cream in Milan, and wines in Tuscany. Unfortunately, dear Barista, I didn't find a tiramisu option. I wish the young engineer and her husband great happiness and a wonderful trip to Italy.
@stefano Under import it only wants a zip file, but I download my mutes/blocks/bookmarks as individual csv files. Can I just zip them together or is it expecting a different type of export than the standard downloads? Or am I looking in the wrong spot?
(also I can't seem to paste an image into this box, I have to have saved it to upload media)
(and no image preview while writing alt-text is *rough*)
(sorry if this was not the sort of feedback you're looking for, I'm maybe a kind of weird beta tester)
(not sure what local vs. local unlisted is going to do differently...)
(I like parentheses)
@zolaris@illumos.cafe
I was running it in a LX zone too. Our YouTube guy Stephen showed me how. But i ran mine in SmartOS.
I was thinking in pkgsrc or sparse zone
