Have youever heard of "Viossa - the greatest language mixing experiment in the world"?

What is Viossa?

In 2014 some people joined a Skype call and spoke to each other.
None of them understood anybody else’s language.
They used hand gestures and pictures to communicate.
Their words kept merging until pictures weren’t necessary.
The resulting language was called Viossa.

(they spoke russian, albanian, japanese, greek, finnish, norwegian, and swiss german, among others)

the rules of viossa

“idiolect – the dialect of an individual; their differing grammatical, vocabulary, and spelling methods”

Learning viossa is radically different:
lots of people learn languages through dictionaries and grammar packets. in viossa, we ...
● draw pictures and emojis
● use fill-in-the-blanks and dialogue
● ignore grammar whenever we can
● accept that we might not know everything

Acquiring vocabulary:
if you’re not sure what vocab you need, try...
● writing about your day
● describing a situation around you
● writing school assignments
● talking about a book

Do all these things in viossa and try to be aware of what words you don’t know

More learning resources:
after this presentation, keep learning at ...

It sounds so fun to me!

However, I don't use discord or telegram.
I wish, they'd use something like an open discourse forum or similar :-/
