Which of these "constructed languages (conlangs") sound most natural, for your taste?
Selection: Esperanto, Mini Linga, Globasa, Lingwa de Planeta, Dasopya
Example: "Our Father"
ESPERANTO
Patro nia, kiu estas en la ĉielo,
Sankta estu Via nomo.

@alkaid@social.lol
"Our Father" is widely used in the "conlang"-community to give an example of a well known-text in their constructed language.
@fasnix Hm Esperanto and Mini Linga feels most natural… kind of. At least from scanning over the text you can see a structure and repeating words that make sense if you know the original.
@ThePianomanJu@chaos.social
Hm, what about "Lingwa de Planeta"?
Isn't there a certain structure and repeating words recognizable as well?
@fasnix It is but it sounds too far off for my ears that too much used to roman/germanic languages. It gives me more asian vibes. Which is nothing bad but it sounds not that much recognizable to me.
@fasnix oh, they're both mentioned at the top of the post though
From the ones in the current version I'd say Globasa
@luc@chaos.social
Well, tbh, I copied the post from another of my accounts (that I plan to delete rather soon) and changed Dasopya (which I don't like that much) to Lingwa de Planeta (which I only came to know about some months ago and really like.
Yes, it still stands at the top, but I just let it now as is.
