It won't surprise you, but you'll be happy to know that it works perfectly.
To be honest, I constantly hesitate between congratulating the team for such a good job, and cursing them for depriving me of the pleasure to debug the software 😁
@stefano Might have one here. I'm testing various client at the same time and amongst them Tokodon, which couldn't post my reply.
It might have been just when you were pushing the new version, so I'll try again. There is also some error message, but doesn't say much. I'll investigate thisa bit and either do a proper bug report or signal to file it.
@francois this is a known issue: Mastodon apps will not be able to post if the audience is local only. They just get confused. We're trying to understand how to manage this.

no it didn't. Not much I can do here. Can you have a look in the logs on your side ? Hopefully you'll find something.
I'm not a big KDE fan ( more XFCE ) but I like tokodon because it is the only client that allows me to use the moderation tools on polyglot.city where i'm admin, so I know for a fact that it does post.
