An Italian secure email system was labeled as terrorist and sanctioned by the US.
What should I think about other secure email systems (Proton, Tuta, etc.) that were not labeled as terrorist or sanctioned by the US?

@stefano There is (theoretically) no way to know who uses Proton or Tuta for legitimate purposes, for crime, or for "terrorism." I imagine "terrorists" will migrate to other systems—if they haven't already been there for years. How did the NSA single out one system from the others? Does it have access to Proton and Tuta but not the other one?
I’m really skeptical about the ones that weren't singled out.
