My photo account is @another@eh.fauxtographer.ca which is running Vernissage created by @mczachurski
@phasorburn@phasorburn.com this might be why, because thats not the name federating, at least according to my littlefedi test account which did in fact find it, but as this: @another@eh.fauxtographer.ca@eh.fauxtographer.ca - but when trying to click it says account not found.
I (@grimmy) am going to state this as clearly as possible here in the hopes it'll propagate quickly.
#Pidgin, and the other projects we maintain alongside it, have never and will never knowingly accept AI-assisted anything.
We proudly respect all licenses, #OpenSource and proprietary, and will not taint our license with whatever you think AI-generated code is licensed under.
A more formal document is now in the works in the hopes that our precious volunteer time will be spared.
It's only some AI...

Turning this off does not opt you out of Twitch and Amazon using your channel content for other purposes described in the Twitch Privacy Notice, including using AI-supported Twitch features that benefit the community by facilitating streamer growth and monetization (such as real-time sponsorship campaign assistance), viewer discovery (such as recommendations), and community safety (such as AutoMod)

I try to stay positive about most things, but Twitch can get fucked with opting all of us in to train AI bullshit from our streams.

So we just got a patch to a crash fix that was created using AI and didn't provide a backtrace so I can't actually fix it. I'm so glad everyone is "saving time" using AI because all you're doing is creating more work and wasting more of my time to do stuff like have a formal document that says "AI Policy: NO!"...
You don't need to always be doing something. Labor is not value

@tizero@livellosegreto.it probably a me problem; I couldn't work out how to create invites easily even with the module. It may be because I run multiple vhosts and only want invites available for one. I didn't look too hard at it to be fair.
My favourite thing to do during my work day is training someone up on how to do my job in order for them to be okay with me doing the job that I do every day and have done for over a decade now.
Repeat for each site I go to, often multiple per day.
I just charge for the time, they're the customer. No wonder stuff is so expensive now.
@chadmccullough@bsd.cafe nah, more than one is good. Just list alts in the profile.
You never know when even something dumb like DNS means you have to use a different one for a bit.
folks gonna be so honest, i have no clue who to follow on here or how to use it. I am new to this fediverse thingy. I want to find other game devs, artists, photograpers and silly people to follow. if you are one of these people please say hi
Will anybody tell Linux Kernel, XFCE, TDE, and the other slop-slingers?
Cal Newport: "From the outside, software development seemed like the poster child for AI’s potential. On the inside, it’s a mess."
@debacle@framapiaf.org @menel@snikket.de @zeank@mastodon.social look, maybe I'm just trying to (badly) justify creating work for myself and try something new to me 😆
When a Wellington bookseller realises that a mysterious and avaricious foreign buyer is AI giant Anthropic:

"Our role is to keep books alive, to keep them in the world."
@menel@snikket.de oh hi @menel@snikket.de! Yes I did, part of the reason to change was just to upskill and increase my knowledge. I already have some regret as it was insanely solid and never missed a beat, but Prosody is still sitting in it's proxmox container - it isn't being deleted and may go back to it once I've had my fun 😉
@drscream@fru.bar @stefano@bsd.cafe mainly masochism I guess... 🤔
I have a solid Prosody server setup, has worked for years great, and in that time I also dabbled with ejabberd but never in any serious way. So I thought, how can I learn how to make this clearer in my head... I know, run in production!
The main reason really is that I have grand ideas of running a public server one day, and read @thomas@metalhead.club post on migrating trashserver.net from prosody to ejabberd back in the day - and a friend still uses his server, which seems solid. The invite system ties into this longer goal/dream/stupid idea.
So yeah, basically because I wanted to learn things. If someone was starting out, or even not just starting out but wanted their own server, I 100% recommend Prosody. Every time.
It turns out I found a minor bug in the invite system 😅
But its working, and friend invited ☺️
@mavu@mastodon.social it treats it like a linked desktop client I believe. You still need it installed on a phone. I use it for work unfortunately, but on a separate work phone, and it means my xmpp clients can all access the same chats as well.
And my wife and kids use it also, so the family group chat is on whatsapp - and the slidge bridge means it is also on my personal phone and desktop pc without whatsapp being able to access those devices.
