Ich denke, der Unterschied liegt darin, dass Deutschland öffentlichen Sozialen Wohnungsbau hatte.
Wenn der großteils privatisiert wurde, ist er nicht mehr öffentlich.
Und wenn demzufolge private Investoren eine von einer Kommune vorgesehene Quote an zu bauenden Sozialwohnungen von 30% auf 15% drücken können, dann ist da auch nicht viel "Verhandlungsmacht" seitens der Kommune.

Oder dass Sozialwohnungen bei uns regelmäßig nach x Jahren aus der Bindung fallen und demzufolge nicht mehr weiter als Sozialwohnungen angeboten werden müssen.

(Allerdings habe ich kein Budget dafür.)
Gerade in einem Gespräch erfahren, dass das Bewusstsein in Unternehmen seit ein paar Monaten stark gestiegen ist, für die Notwendigkeit, sich von amerikanischen Diensten und Betriebssystemen unabhängig zu machen.
Konkret: Immer mehr Unternehmen informieren sich über die Möglichkeiten, u.a. von Windows weg zu Linux auf PC-Arbeitsplätzen zu wechseln.

This is such a brutal thing. Yes job loss is not nice even if they get some money to exit. The whole IT sector is now a race to the bottom until AI causes a massive job and stock market crash and then nobody will have a job, pensions will be burned out in stock market scams and meanwhile, some of these AI tech bros will have made billions in profits. Well done, Microsoft and every other batshit crazy AI company.
