After a few teething problems I'm fully up and running and federating at @elperronegro@khumbu.social. Why Khumbu? No, it's not the famous glacier in Nepal, it's a tribute to our last, now dearly departed, husky dog 😄
Before I migrate accounts from https://littleone.littlefedi.social/ however I have a dilemma. Maybe you can advise? I have two main topics that I tend to post about:
- Hiking, Landscape Photography, Mountains etc
- Technology & Self Hosting etc
Very different subject matter. If I use one account for both topics, will I be alienating one group or the other? Would it be better to have two accounts, one for each topic? Or does it really not matter and am I being completely oversensitive?

Personally, I think it doesn't matter that much to mix such different topics.
I do that too, and a lot :'D
So, I'd be fine if you just use one account.
Important is, I think, to state both realms in your bio, though, so that people interested in following you, can learn about your topics beforehand and decide if they really want to follow you.
@fasnix @elperronegro@khumbu.social thanks for the advice. Its the way I'm trending. Much less complicated to run

I would mention in my profile a related hashtag and then try to use it in the toots. So people could easily follow (or filter) topics if they like only specific ones...

@daisy @fasnix @elperronegro@khumbu.social good idea. I even considered maybe putting the technology related posts behind a content warning with related #tech tag. Anyway, I have time to experiment
@epn4littlefedi @elperronegro@khumbu.social in my opinion, if you are a marketing department, separate them.
If you're a person, dont bother 😊

I have séparateur accounts for separate topics. Makes more sense to me, but i guess that's personnal
