#HolosSocial is a cool project aimed at giving everyone their own ActivityPub server.

#littleFedi is a cool project aimed at making an ActivityPub server that can run on minimal resources.

What would be very cool is a melding of these two ideas.

Imagine you install a littleFedi app on your phone and you're already hosting your own server. No need to rent a VPS or set up a complicated #homelab; download, install, login, and go. Make the decentralized web even more decentralized.

That's the dream.

While I tested holos, I didn't like it that much.

However, I like your idea and second the wish for such an app :)

@fasnix I also tested and ultimately decided against Holos. Neat idea, but I'm not a fan of the UI or the way the service works with the relay.

But I love littleFedi's interface, and I especially love the static blog post feature. I really want to have my own single-user instance of littleFedi, but I confess that the documentation is intimidating for a layperson. I have little to no idea what most of it means, which makes me doubt my ability to actually deploy littleFedi on my own.

I yearn for the simplicity of the Holos server idea but with littleFedi's code and interface.

Every word could be my own 😄
I'd also would like to be able to selfhost littlefedi at one point in the future, but ... 🙈
