I have a domain, with a subdomain for a fedi-instance.
I would love to get my own littlefedi server on it.
I have absolutely no clue about how to get it installed on the subdomain.
In theory, I can connect to it via SSH.
I'm just too ... dumb to be able to get it done.
Anyone here willing to assist or do it for me? beggingeyes
@himysyed Hey @himysyed @fasnix I'd be happy to help. There's a bit of stuff to know for me to give you the best / easiest way to get things going.
- What VPS do you use?
- Do you have other services on the VPS?
- Do you have a reverse proxy like caddy/nginx?
- Do you have to use a web front end to setup anything on the subdomain besides an IP for the DNS entry (like certificates)?
Answer as many of these as you can and we can get it figured out from there. I'd be happy to do a remote / chat session as well. But at the end of it I request both of you write a post (and blog!) about your experience so it can help others coming from your perspective. Let me know!
