However:

Does that mean that if a publish a post in the morning that gets boosted during the day, I cannot transfer it to a blog post in the evening?
I would have to make that choice right away when publishing a post?
@fasnix No, you can convert any of your posts to blog posts whenever you want to. But you can't convert a boost into a blog post. Which sounds reasonable, I think.

Ah, understood: I cannot boost a post from another user and make that a blog post.
Also not a "quoted boost"?
