The "roost" theme reminds me the early days of a famous social network.
Unfortunately, its char limit has always been too low for me, and I haven't been that active there.
Still, I liked the interface.

The good ol' days!
Been there, loved it.
Now exclusively in the fediverse (since 2018 and actively since the start of '23).
@fasnix I was somehow intrigued but the char limit was stressful. That's one of the reasons why I've always used instances with higher char limit. 500 is ok-ish, but not enough for me. I'm verbose by default.
@stefano
The original 140-chars-limit was one thing I especially liked about twitter, as it forced to express your thoughts in this constricted space.
Some months ago, some user took the original twitter code from 2006 and adopted it (with the help of CopilotAI), published it on https://chrrp.eu ๐
@stefano I am the mostest stoked for #littleMesh and the long-form blog views; got a buncha writeups I can't wait to convert over. thank you for your hard work!
@yuman@defcon.social Just this morning, I wanted to run some tests. I created a littleMesh lighthouse and various littleMesh-only nodes, so they weren't exposed. I was able to run all the tests I wanted without generating a single HTTPS certificate.
Private federation, in my opinion, over LAN, VPN, or whatever, is a great feature.
@stefano #littleMesh is the killer feature. not to demean the work on all other things and the raspi optimizations and whatnot, but that -- CGNAT traversal, firewall hole punching, etc -- makes buying VPS, domains, etc practically obsolete!
