Testing Posting from #littlefedi on #runbsd (FreeBSD, Falkon, WebUI)
- Markdown
- pinning
- selfdestructing messages
- notifications
Hmm, first observations:
- /me likes the default theme :-)
- there seems to be no setting to exclude pinned or bookmarked posts from the autodestruct...
- alt text have no obvious formatting (which is ok but different from mastodon), will have to check if working around with markdown might work.
- Editing a Post with an image has two checkmarks in the top of media section: one labled with "mark media as sensitive" and right below another checkmark without a label but a list point in front.
- Difference to Mastodon UI: alt text get displayed below the image... instead of a hover on a label/pic.
- Not sure about replying to multiple users in a thread worked...

@tionisla all in all I really like it so far from a first glance. I have to get accustomed to some of the differences, so will test it further.
***More testing Little fedi (now with Javascript disabled)***
@tionisla ooh, interesting but not serious... It kind of even works on Netsurf.
Ok, it looks a bit odd/broken, but I'm able to login, and read my timeline... (That's more than on Mastodon ;-P
More serious testing... It's working more or less alright even when disabling JS in Falkon.
- no unblurring sensitive media with JS disabled.
- no link previews either
@tionisla what's definetely missing is follow request control/accept/deny. Either I'm too blind to find the setting or I'm sure it will come enventually. 🙈 #littlefedi
@stefano if it should be there it might also be a /me problem ;-)
btw. kudos, I really like it so far :-)
@tionisla oh, just found a display bug... If the replys are nested enough (for the window size, size of status tags) the nickname/user gets written linebroken vertically... not sure... maybe the linebreak should be after the " unlisted" tag.
@joany hehe, my main panel is vertical, so it kinda of suits me having my username to be vertical as well 😉
@joany :-D "vertical, ascendent: left, with LXQt in conjunction with xfwm4 in the first x11 display" to be precise...
But not sure what's that according to the chinese horoscope... Probl. "born in the year of the *BSD Desktop" 🤷
