@xenotar @the_coffee_lover that’s usually my approach, too. Read only internal sd and a proper drive connected.
@stefano @the_coffee_lover I'm thinking of using a self-powered external hard drive connected via USB and keeping only the OS on the microSD card. I know it goes against the minimalist concept, but using a device for I/O-intensive tasks saves wear and tear on the microSD card. I have several 2.5" hard drives left over from upgrading to SSDs.
My Orange Pi PC is powered by an ATX power supply that also powers other systems via USB, but I'm not sure if it can handle powering a 2.5" hard drive as well—which is why I mentioned a self-powered drive.
Florida Senate Bill 488 is going to require people to provide an email address on applications for ID cards and requests for a replacement driver's license or instruction permit, and it allows the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to provide notification by email in lieu of physical mail. Seems problematic to me 🤔

@stefano I had a friend move from @babe@glitterkitten.co.uk to @babe@duck.rodeo ,and I was notified here, but it still showed the address not the new one. I had to run to mastodon to find out where she went. Not sure if that makes any sense. I may need to re-explain that once my migraine goes away.

I'll probably move it back to the (small) VPS later, as the SD wearing is worrying me and I don't think I'll be able to work on it tomorrow. But hey, moving it is so easy 😉
@the_coffee_lover I'd suggest to wait before moving here. This is a test instance and may break, slow down, be offline, etc. It's not meant (yet) to be stable. littleFedi has still some rough edges and this instance is the key to spot (and hopefully solve) them.
