Overnights in Octobers here in Toronto mean it usually cold enough that I hesitate to go out and pull a "Banksy" and create a painted Labyrinth somewhere that I need not to be seen doing so during daylight hours.
I currently have a full dozen Labyrinth works that are in various stages of progress.
With each passing October night, there is a dwindling window of outdoor evening paintable [sic] hours before Winter arrives in earnest and I will have to await Spring to continue working on my dozen or so outstanding Labyrinths.
By typing this, I have procrastinated, delayed, a full eight minutes, into deciding whether to pull an all-nighter and complete at least something tonight/overnight/pre-dawn.
It is moments like this I say to myself in the third person,
"Labyrinths don't build themselves."
And also reminding myself of that Bosnian Muslim Proverb,
"Every Chance is your Last Chance, The Circle is not round."
Funny to me, as many of my Labyrinths are indeed round-ish in design.
It's 11° Celsius outside, in Toronto tonight.
.... strange how simply typing this out has made me at least 'feel' like I did something labyrinth-making related tonight.
@epn4littlefedi itâs still incomplete but the idea is: it will show all the posts from the local and the bubble timelines, something more than the local timeline and less than the full timeline
@stefano I'm testing the web app in brave on Android and was wondering: isn't there a way to see all posts I did favorite or emoji react to?
Webdevelopment - question:
Is there a European alternative to CloudCannon?
CloudCannon offers a web-based flat-file CMS that lets you host multiple websites with one account (e.g. for your own project sites or sites of your customers).
Love the idea of having such a hosting solution, but one being developed within Europe.

When you install a new LittleFedi instance with pretty much default settings, what is the max character limit per post? Can you change it before or after installing?
"When we talk about time, we usually refer to the past as being behind us and the future being ahead of us.
"This space-time arrangement seems so totally natural to us, itâs hard to imagine what it would be like to think otherwise.
"Years ago, I read about the Aymara, a tribe of Indigenous people in South America who have a way of thinking about time thatâs the complete reverse of our own.
"They refer to the future as âbackâ or âbehindâ time, and the past as âfrontâ time.
"When they speak about the past, they gesture ahead of them, and when they speak about the future, they gesture behind them.
"The reason they point ahead when talking about the past is that the past is knownâit has already happened, therefore, itâs in front of you, where you can see it.
"The future, on the other hand, is unknownâit hasnât happened yet, so itâs behind you, where you canât see it.
"I read about this almost fifteen years ago and it still blows my mind.
"The past is in front of us. The future is behind us."

"(...) In my opinion the web is better when it is safer, faster and more open to anyone to enjoy its content.
However, the web is getting worse because it is getting more and more unsafe (from a privacy perspective) with real consequences (even imprisonment). The web is getting worse because it is just as fast as it was 10 years ago, while internet speeds have increased dramatically. This is detrimental for poor countries and poor people and increases inequality. The web is getting worse because it is less open every day. It is becoming more and more a set of content silos that allow censorship and bubbles to form, blocking of âotherâ views, thus making the web less open and empowering extremism. (...)"
