What will littleFedi's official-ish Plushie end up being ?
Whatever it is,
I want one.
Or two.
Or a few.

@alisynthesis@io.waxandleather.com I was putting together a little list of some of my favorite jazz artists for @tootbrute@fedi.arkadi.one when I remembered an extraordinary jazz-hop act that you should check out for something unlike anything you've ever heard (unless you happened to come across this one before):
One of the most unique records I've had the pleasure of adding to my eclectic collection of musical treasures

recommendation list, jazz
@tootbrute@fedi.arkadi.one I think my favorite jazz "album" is the Centennial Trilogy by Chief Adjuah, and I highly recommend a listen 🎺
(Gotta put "album" in quotes because it's actually three: Ruler Rebel, Diaspora, and Emancipation Procrastination)
If you like that ☝️ you should also check out:
- Shabaka
- Kamasi Washington
- Theon Cross
- Yussef Dayes
- Aaron Shaw
- Rebecca Trescher
- Mary Halvorson
- Christopher Hoffman
- Patricia Brenna
- Tomin
- Nubya Garcia
- Amaro Freitas
- Ezra Collective
- Sun Ra Arkestra
- Kokoroko
- Makaya McCraven
- Pokaz Trio
I could keep going, but maybe I shouldn't 😅

Why Personal Websites Are Coming Back

@francois Thanks. Yes, that does help. Already into DeltaChat, Lynx and Offpunk in preparation for a linux handheld.
@himysyed European Central Bank research conference Day 2 livestream
Was worth delaying my morning routine to listen to Paul Krugman's lecture plus Q&A.
Canada's current situationship with the U.S. Administration ended up as bookend examples at the beginning and near the conclusion of his talk.
I'm already familiar with Krugman's perspectives via his daily writings,
But this talk allowed a prioritization of what is more deserving of attention by everyday people.

not sure it's what you're looking for but hope it helps.
Getting interested in becoming more proficient in using terminal based apps and editors such as Helix (text editor), Newsboat (RSS reader) and Browser (Lynx). Decided that I will never buy another smartphone, so this could be useful when my Mecha Comet Linux handheld arrives back end of the year.
Best friend sent me this photo of a hiking trip in the Alps, where he went with his nephews and a friend.
Saved it and made it my home screen ☺️
Beautiful scenery, isn't it?

Whatsapp is even worse.
I was in Indonesia, where everybody uses whatsapp all the time.
(Needless to say I don't).
Hotel and agencies used to message me and the stupid thing did not even tell them I was not on whatsapp!!!!
Took me a while to understand what was going on.
Can you spot the white Misumena vatia in these photos?
